About the Position

We are looking for a brilliant financial advisor with an entrepreneurial spirit. If you are an experienced advisor and are looking for an opportunity to grow your own business, then you have found it. We are a diverse, woman-owned, independent family office located in Westwood, MA, and are looking for FAs to join the team so that we can serve more of our community. Our elite team currently consists of seven members, and we are looking for just the right fit as we grow strategically. Our already established brand, location, marketing strategy, and book of business, so you would already have a client base to get started with, and more as we grow. Serious inquiries only, please.

Be a Fiduciary

There is not one thing that we take more seriously at this firm than being a fiduciary to all of our clients. That means ALWAYS putting the best interest of the client first.

Know Your Clients

You are the quarterback to your clients entire financial future. THat means you need to know your clients inside and out. Not just their documents on paper, but also their personalities, likes, dislikes, importnat dates, etc.

Financial Planning

A finacncial advisor must develop and recommend strategies to help clients achieve thier goals while staying aligned to thier risk tolerance and financial education.

Presentation Skills

Financial advisors must have the skillset to present their plans to the clients in a way that the client understands and will feel empowered to take action.

Research & Education

To ensure clients comply with the latest regulations, advisors may read tax law journals, attend seminars, and network with other professionals. We always need to stay sharp and that means continuous educaation beyond simple CE.

Attending Client Meetings & Events

We are looking for an outgoing person that will enjoy socializing in meetings as well as at our events such as client appreciation events, industry conferences, professional development programs, and marketing events that you will be expected to attend.

Content Creation

We are always looking to educate our current as well as prospective customers. This means collaborating on and creating content for our monthly newsletter, annual market report, social media posts, videos, and articles for publication.

Business Development

We are looking to grow the firm as well as our services and are looking for someone with a growth mindset and the ability to expand our book of business.

Financial Advisor Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of sales experience.
  • Must have current FINRA Series 7 and 66 Securities Registration.
  • Life and health license.
  • In-depth understanding of employer, industry, and federal regulations
  • Knowledge of financial options, including investments, loans, savings accounts, and stock options
  • Expertise in financial planning and investment strategies
  • Familiarity with the securities, mutual fund, and insurance industries
  • Advanced ability to analyze and explain market data
  • Knowledge of mutual funds, securities, and insurance industries.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience providing quality financial advice.
  • Analytical thinking skills and the ability to assess clients’ needs
  • Superior communication abilities, including writing, speaking, and active listening
  • Effective sales, presentation, and customer service skills
  • Good organization and time management skills
  • CFP preferred. (Would be required to complete if you do not already have)
  • Niche or area of expertise: college planning, 401K management, municipalities, dentists, etc.

Essential functions

  • Talking to clients to determine their expenses, income, insurance coverage, financial objectives, tax status, risk tolerance, or other information needed to develop a financial plan.
  • Answering client questions about financial plans and strategies and giving financial advice.
  • Advising strategies for clients in insurance coverage, investment planning, cash management, and other areas to help them reach financial objectives.
  • Reviewing client accounts and plans on a regular basis to understand if life or economic changes, situational concerns, or financial performance necessitate changes in their plan.
  • Analyzing financial data received from clients to develop strategies for meeting clients’ financial goals.
  • Preparing or interpreting financial document summaries, investment performance reports, and income projections for clients.
  • Implementing financial plans or referring clients to professionals who can help them.
  • Managing and updating client portfolios.
  • Contacting clients regularly to discover changes in their financial status.
  • Building and maintaining your client base.
  • Know how to have a good time!
